Network marketing

I really wanted to do s blog about network marketing for a while now as I have personally been in the industry now for over 7 years. I only just started blogging 2 months ago and really started to enjoy it as it’s a great way to express yourself.

Now that we are in 2018 social media has pretty much taken over society in general well that’s what I think anyway. You will find network marketers in your newsfeeds trying to sell you something or advertise to work with them.

These days Network marketing is getting harder because this generation seem to think that every network marketing company is a scam when it’s absolutely not. All network marketing companies the legitimate ones that is have rules and regulations for distributors to follow. Unfortunately most don’t follow these rules and make certain companies look bad. For example if your selling a health product and they say it will cure disease or treat a condition there actually not allowed to say this. It’s people like that who make us look bad.

Iv been with a fair few network marketing companies over the years some I liked some I did not as some I found that there requirements to stay active were absolutely ridiculous if you don’t have customers or downlines your not going to get far as you need both to advance up into the compensation plan.

There are millionaires in network marketing because they were usually the first ones to jump into the business when it was new so they had a better chance of getting recruits and customers before anyone else. If you don’t have family or friends who will support you then it’s going to be extremely hard to be in network marketing as you can progress without these things.

Unfortunately for me I’m not a millionaire all though being in network marketing for so long only because I don’t stay with a company I don’t like or they change there requirements or people just are not interested. I believe yes you can make it in network marketing but it all comes down to who you know and if those people will support you or not.

I have a disability so I don’t drive I don’t door knock and I don’t socialise so this makes it also harder for me in Network marketing. Iv had friends join then the next month there become high status for there business because of there family and friends and because they get out there.

I think people need to research network marketing a little better before labeling all of us as scammers. I’m very open about what I do how it works and I do my best to prove that. People need to understand better to make our job easier.

My Brain surgery story

You might have seen my title and thought omg that’s the first thing people usually say to me. I don’t have cancer I don’t have a tumour unfortunately for me brain surgery is common because I have something called hydrocephalus which means water on the brain. You might remember seeing those baby with big heads and people would call them aliens? No they just have a water on the brain to stop this people like us need a thing called a shunt that goes into the head down the neck and into the tummy.

I had my first brain subheading I was just 4 weeks old I was not born with hydro but developed outside of the womb a PV shunt was inserted and since then I have no need for a replacement the only thing that affected m Ewan’s my eye sight and learning etc. I live a absolutely normal life like everyone else only certain things are a little harder for me.

I thought nothing of my shunt as I grew older I actually started to think I no longer needed one because I was fine and nothing had ever actually happened to me with it. I’m now over 30 and just out of no where in the 27th of January 2018 I got this massive migraine when I say migraine I mean my head is throbbing so bad that even if I move just a bit I’m going to vomit and that I clean heart the throbbing right out of my ears. I was on 3 different heavy pain meds of the 3 days and nothing worked not even endone…

I knew something was not right and I could hardly talk because I kept falling asleep that’s all I literally did no matter what I could not stay awake. I was rushed to the hospital they did scans to see what’s going on turns out my haunt had completely shattered and was no longer working not only that but I was actively dying I had a heart rate of under 20bpm and they where pumping morphinene into me like crazy with no relief

The only was to stop it was to get emergency brain surgery I had absolutely no choice it was get brain surgery or die at that point I didn’t care because I was in that much pain I felt dead anyway. My partner had to sign a waiver saying I could die or be brain damaged amongst other things. I didn’t expect to come out alive I woke up confused dazed but I survived I could t believe it. Looking at the scans my head had completely filled itself with fluid they said that if I had left it one more day without going to the hospital I would of died as I was already dying when I got there it was so scary and now I feel like my life is different. There are still things I don’t remember however I try my best everyday and I work hard at home around my kids.

There is no cure for hydrocephalus and shunts are not the cure as they can break at anytime and malfunction at any time you can be fine one day then be dying the next I literally live my life on the edge because I never know if I’ll be alive the next day or not.

7 Tips and Essential Oil Uses for a Balanced Life

Living a balanced life is on everyone’s to-do list, but it takes lots of small steps to get there. See our favorite daily decisions for finding balance in life, including actionable tips using essential oils. While everyone’s choices will be a little different, there’s sure to be something you can start doing today to help center your life around what’s most important to you!

1) Treat yourself.

All work and no play is a surefire way to throw off a balanced life. Wherever you’re logging your hours—at home, the office, the gym, or anywhere else—be sure to treat yourself when the work is done! Making time for yourself ensures that you feel cared for, so you can keep sharing your time, energy, and talents with others. Pursue a new hobby just for fun, spend a night binge-watching a show, or take an extra-long, steamy shower! It can be anything, big or small, that helps you refocus and recharge.

YL Tip: Grab a Stress Away™ Roll-On and check out our Treat Yourself—3 Steps to Make Time for Me Time blog post to get started!

2) Take stock of your life.

When was the last time you thought about what you want and what it takes to get there? Knowing yourself and what makes you feel happy and fulfilled can help balance your life. Unfortunately, the hustle and bustle of daily life makes it almost impossible to passively discover yourself, and you can easily end up somewhere you didn’t intend to go. Balanced people regularly think about the life they want and then prioritize their time and energy to pursue it.

YL Tip: Take some time to breathe and rediscover yourself with help from Magnify Your Purpose™ and our Beginner’s Guide to Meditation post.

3) Catch some Zzz’s.

People with a balanced life recognize that prioritizing their day takes energy. Sleep deprivation makes it difficult to check off all the tasks on your to-do list and to manage your mood. But when the neighbor’s dog barks all night or your 5-year-old has a recurring nightmare, getting your eight hours can seem impossible. Increase your chances for a restful night’s sleep by practicing healthy sleep habits like having the same bedtime and wake time every day, shying away from screens an hour before bed, and creating a nighttime routine that tells your body it’s time to sleep.

YL Tip: Integrate the calming aroma of Lavender or Peace & Calming™ into your nighttime routine by applying it to the bottoms of feet or diffusing it before bed.

4) Think about what you eat and drink.

When your body doesn’t get adequate nutrition, it slows down and becomes inefficient. Practice mindful eating to make the most of each meal and snack. When you focus on getting fruits, veggies, and other whole foods, you ensure that your body is running at peak performance. And remember to stay hydrated! Dehydration can lead to fatigue, dizziness, and other symptoms that can slow down your day.¹

YL Tip: This week, try our Cinnamon-Apple Chips or Homemade Thai Soup instead of take-out or packaged food. And what’s a balanced life without occasionally treating yourself to something indulgent? Try our Dairy-Free Dark Chocolate Peppermint Mousse for a sweet that’s also smart!

5) Get moving.

Regular exercise benefits nearly every aspect of your life. Among other positives, exercise can improve mood, boost energy, and lead to better sleep,² meaning a happier, healthier, more balanced you. Whether you’re lifting weights, walking the block, or dancing with your friends, do something at least a few times a week to raise your heart rate and your spirits.

YL Tip: Relax after a tough workout with Cool Azul™ Pain Relief Cream. It relieves pain in muscles and joints with a cooling sensation and refreshing aroma.

6) Give selfless service.

Offering service and compassion to others can bring a fresh perspective to your life, and the more time you spend caring for others, the more content and happy you feel. It could be something as simple as a visit to a lonely neighbor or a kind note to a struggling friend. Whatever it is, do something to get out of your head and brighten someone else’s day!

YL Tip: Share Gratitude™ with someone you feel especially thankful for. Drop it off with a thank you letter that tells how special he or she is to you.

7) Let things go.

Free up your energy by letting go of things you can’t control. Part of life is allowing some situations to be what they are and not trying to force them to become something else. Instead of fixating on something you can’t change, use your power in places where you have control.

Ingredients you’ll never find in YL products

Do you remember ninth grade biology class? The pungent smell of formaldehyde filling the air as you performed the public school ritual of frog dissection? Did you know that many popular personal care products list formaldehyde as an ingredient or mention a preservative that releases formaldehyde? Yeah, we think it’s gross, too. That’s why we don’t include it in our products and have a list of other ingredients that Young Living doesn’t use.

When creating a new product, Young Living takes great care to scrutinize, analyze, and research each ingredient to ensure that it is as pure as possible. We also consider the conditions of sourcing and closely monitor how ingredients are being harvested. Our aim to deliver naturally derived products that you feel confident using around your family is at the core of who we are.

If we’re unsure about an ingredient, we’ll pass on it completely. For example, we never use artificial dyes, harsh chemicals, or fragrances other than essential oils. In place of artificial flavors, we use essential oils and natural flavoring. The elimination of these constituents helps us provide you with products we are proud to call ours. Ready to take a closer look at what else we don’t use?

Personal Care

Our personal care line ranges from serums you apply to your face to toothpaste you put in your mouth—and that’s about as personal as it gets. It’s important to us that you feel secure in the ingredients. Here’s what we avoid and why we never use it:

Glycols (propylene, butylene, hexylene, caprylyl): Glycols are moisturizing agents. We don’t use them in our products simply because there isn’t enough research to declare them as safe to use, so why take the risk?

Triclosan: This is an antimicrobial agent, often found in toothpastes and hand soaps, that was recently banned by the FDA for antiseptic skin products due to lack of data regarding its safety and efficacy.*

*See ruling here.

Nano particles: These are commonly found in sunscreen. These reactive particles can be very unpredictable and are small enough to pass through cell membranes and enter the bloodstream. For more information, check out our blog post.

Formaldehyde: This preservative is often seen in lotions, cosmetics, and baby wipes. After repeated contact, skin sensitivity may arise.*

*See FDA advice here.

Oxybenzone: This organic compound is an example of an ingredient that could be toxic to the symbiotic algae that lives within coral and might pose a huge threat to coral reef.* As conscious stewards of the environment, we use reef-friendly sunscreen ingredients such as zinc oxide (non-nano) or titanium dioxide (non-nano) in our sunscreen.

*See National Ocean Service report here.

BHA and BHT: These are common synthetic preservatives found in fatty oils or carrier oils. There’s a reason other companies use these ingredients, even if they haven’t been proven to be safe or properly researched. They contribute something to the finished product, but we refuse to settle. In our creams and lotions, instead of using these preservatives, we choose to utilize naturally derived ingredients such as essential oils, pH regulators, acid regulators, and plant extracts. In place of fatty acids, we opt for BHA- and BHT-free coconut and carrier oils. In our bath bombs, we choose simple sodium bicarbonate and citric acid in place of boric acid.

Imagine you’re wiping off your counters with popular disinfectant wipes when you hear your baby start to wail. You feel you need to vigorously scrub your hands to rid them of harsh chemicals before going to sooth your upset child. This is not what we want for your homes and families. We want you to feel a sense of confidence when cleaning around little ones and pets. We make that happen by eliminating these substances:

Sulfates: These cleaning agents are synthetic and are purposely absent from our Thieves line.

Triethanolamine (TEA): This ingredient is often found in retail detergents, but there’s not enough safety data available for us to feel comfortable using it.

What we use instead:

When it comes to the cleaning products you trust us to formulate, we use natural surfactants like glucosides, soapberries, and quillaja extract instead—all derived from plants.

Babies–Young Living Seedlings™

If there’s one thing we know about parents, it’s that if you’re unsure if an ingredient is okay for you, it’s an absolute no for your babies. This led to the formulation of our Young Living Seedlings line. Young Living products are meant to be used in the home, and the last thing you should stress about is which kind of chemicals your children are exposed to. That’s why we refuse to use the following ingredients:

Talc: This powder contains potential carcinogens in certain products. Most baby powders use it, but the costs could be very serious when inhaled.

PEGs (PEG–polyethylene glycol; PPG–polypropylene glycol): These ingredients are surfactants and are most commonly used in cleaning and personal products. When synthetic, they carry potential safety concerns such as pore clogging and toxicity.

Parabens: The FDA has no conclusive research regarding the effects of these preservatives, which are often used in deodorants, moisturizers, and shampoos.

What we use instead:

Once again, we choose to focus our resources on providing you plant-derived, natural surfactants and safer alternatives to parabens such as acid regulators, plant extracts, and essential oils.

Makeup–Savvy Minerals by Young Living®

For some, makeup comes into daily contact with their skin. That’s why we created Savvy Minerals by Young Living for the woman who wants to feel confident and beautiful without constantly worrying about what’s on her face and seeping into her skin. To accomplish this, we say no to these constituents:

Synthetic dyes or colors: These additives are used to make cosmetics pigmented and are mostly made of petroleum sources.

Bismuth: This is a coloring agent in makeup, and since we have insufficient evidence of its safety, we don’t use it.

What we use instead:

Instead of using harmful, unknown agents to color our makeup, we rely on minerals or mineral oxides.

With each of our products, we put quality first. We take great pride in scrutinizing our ingredients—from the source material to the country of origin—and celebrate spreading Gary Young’s vision of bringing the world’s purest essential oils into your home.

Quality sourcing, healthy lives, and naturally derived products are our passion. To learn more, read our blog posts on the Seed to Seal® process and how to use essential oils to create a healthy lifestyle.
